7 Brew, the fast-growing drive-thru beverage chain known for its energetic "Brew Crew" staff and sprawling drink menu, is launching its first-ever mobile app on Aug. 12, giving customers a new way to order ahead, customize drinks and earn rewards, according to the company. The 7 Brew app will be available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play starting that day, and it marks a major digital push for a chain that has expanded from a regional novelty into a national contender in just a few years.
The app will let users order ahead, customize beverages, track loyalty points and locate nearby stands, according to a company announcement reported by KGW. It will also give customers access to some of 7 Brew's "secret menu" items for the first time, a feature Chief Marketing Officer Nick Chavez confirmed to both KGW and Restaurant Dive. "We have created a mobile ordering app that is intended to be as personal and fun as the experience at our stands," Chavez said.
Despite the shift to mobile ordering, 7 Brew emphasized that drinks purchased through the app will still be prepared fresh once the customer arrives at the stand. Restaurant Dive reported that the company described app orders as being "prepared fresh upon arrival at the stand, ensuring guests enjoy their favorite drink exactly at intended peak freshness," according to the press release. That detail matters for a chain built almost entirely around the drive-thru model — Restaurant Dive noted that, per 7 Brew's franchise disclosure document, only two of its stores currently lack a drive-thru lane.
Customization is central to the app's pitch. With more than 20,000 possible drink combinations across coffee, energy drinks, teas, lemonades, smoothies, shakes and sodas, 7 Brew is betting that letting customers build and save their orders digitally will drive repeat visits. Chavez told Restaurant Dive that the sheer number of combinations was a key reason the company wanted a dedicated ordering platform rather than relying on third-party delivery apps or phone orders alone.
A Loyalty Program Built Around Points and Merchandise
The app rollout comes alongside a significant overhaul of 7 Brew's rewards program. Members will continue to earn 100 points per order and can still redeem 1,000 points for a free drink of any size, according to KGW. What's new is the ability to bank larger point totals toward branded merchandise, such as letterman jackets or a 7 Brew-themed mini-fridge, as reported by Restaurant Dive.
To mark the launch, 7 Brew is running a promotion called "Sip Your Way to 100K Points" from Aug. 20 to Aug. 26. One winner will receive 100,000 rewards points — enough, according to the company, for either a 7 Brew-branded mini-fridge stocked with energy drinks or nearly two years of free weekly drinks. Customers can sign up for 7 Brew Rewards now at 7brew.com/rewards ahead of the app's debut.
Social media reaction to the announcement was enthusiastic, with one commenter writing, "IVE WAITED FOR TIMES LIKE THESE," in response to a teaser post from the company, KGW reported.
From 24 Stores to Nearly 1,000 in Three Years
The app arrives at a pivotal moment in 7 Brew's expansion. Founded in Rogers, Arkansas, in 2017, the chain has grown primarily through a franchise model and now operates more than 800 stands across 38 states, serving more than 1 million drinks a day, according to the company. Restaurant Dive, citing 7 Brew's franchise disclosure document, reported that the chain went from just 24 stores at the start of 2023 to 604 stores at the start of 2026 — a rate of growth that has turned it from a small regional player into what the outlet called an "emergent national power" in roughly three years.
7 Brew is projecting 447 new store openings this year alone, which would push its total past the 1,000-unit mark, according to the franchise disclosure document cited by Restaurant Dive. As of the end of 2025, the company had already signed development agreements for 3,100 future stores, signaling that its rapid buildout is far from finished.
That scale of growth is precisely why the app matters beyond convenience for customers. Restaurant Dive framed the launch as a move that could "supercharge" 7 Brew's growth by improving store-level sales and giving the company far more data on customer preferences than it can currently collect through drive-thru transactions alone. For a chain expanding as fast as 7 Brew, understanding what customers order, how often and where could shape decisions on new store locations, menu development and marketing.
The strategy mirrors moves made by larger, more established coffee and beverage chains. Restaurant Dive pointed to Starbucks Rewards, which counts 35.8 million 90-day active members in the United States and has been described as a central pillar of that company's broader business turnaround. The outlet also cited Dutch Bros, another drive-thru-focused chain, where mobile ordering played a key role in doubling brand awareness over an 18-month period and helped cement the brand as a routine stop for many consumers. For quick-service restaurants generally, and coffee chains in particular, digital ordering channels have become a standard tool for building loyalty, boosting engagement and reinforcing a modern brand identity — and 7 Brew's leadership appears to be betting that the same playbook can work at its own scale.
Whether the app can replicate that kind of impact will depend in part on adoption among 7 Brew's existing customer base, many of whom have grown accustomed to ordering exclusively through the drive-thru lane with help from tablet-wielding Brew Crew staff. The company's decision to gate secret menu items behind the app gives regular customers a clear incentive to download it, while the merchandise-focused rewards overhaul offers another reason for casual buyers to sign up and stick around. For now, the company's public messaging has focused on preserving what has made the in-person experience popular — freshness, customization and personality — while adding the convenience of ordering from a phone.
